Introduction
ALARICO ICTI
– International Centre for Technology
and Innovation carries out activities in
the fields of high level training, research,
social assistance and primary instruction,
in Italy and in the developing countries.
ALARICO ICTI
has its main office in Montalto Uffugo (CS
- Italy) and research laboratories in the
Lazio Region (near Viterbo) and Calabria
Region (Montalto Uffugo and Lamezia Terme).
The Department for conservation and restoration
of cultural property of the Rome Province
and the Municipality of Santa Marinella,
in the framework of the restoration plan
for the years 2001-2003 promoted a preliminary
project concerning the recovery of the castle
located in the Municipality of Santa Severa.
In the following paragraphs a short description
of the project is given. The examination
of the project showed that it is fully compatible,
as far as location, areas and their destination
are concerned, with a project, illustrated
in the following, for the use of that site
by ALARICO ICTI
to form in the Lazio Region a pole addressed
to high training courses. Besides the correspondence
of the architectural design to the project
requirements, the geographic area, the strategic
location, the natural bent of the site in
terms of working demand and perspectives
of employment, make so that the opportunity
of using the castle for purposes linked
to the professional formation turns out
to be an absolutely interesting proposal.
The project concerns the development of
courses, workshops, seminars, conferences,
teleconferences, e-Learning, meetings for
high formation and with high scientific
level, on a wide range of subjects in the
field of the applied sciences and of the
innovative technologies in a context of
sustainable development. The activities,
that could last two-four weeks or more,
will be held at Santa Severa, in the Lazio
Region.
These activities will be organised for public
and private companies, public and private
organisations and institutions of various
Italian regions, in particular of Lazio
Region, of some developed and developing
countries. These entities will have the
opportunity of using the services offered
and of requesting particular courses prepared
following their specific requirements. It
is worth to underline that ALARICO
ICTI for the development of the already
made courses and of those programmed for
the next future in Calabria, uses outstanding
teachers well know over the world thanks
to its Advisory Board which collects and
assesses the proposals submitted by the
international scientific and technological
world. In fact the Advisory Board is formed
by high level personalities, among them
two Nobel Laureates, who allow to access
to the highest experts in all scientific
sectors through the network of their relationships.
Moreover collaborations could be established
with Universities of the Lazio Regions,
with CNR (Italian National Research Council)
and with other scientific and research organizations
for the development of courses and technological
research projects.
